Funny story about this comic: I was initially going to take pictures of the paper cutouts with a nice SLR camera… only to find out at the last minute that the camera cord completely died. Luckily, my camera phone was there to rescue us… with surprising results, to be honest.
For those of you in the Minneapolis area, mark your calendars for September 9th. The Soap Factory, an art gallery that always has some great ideas, is having their annual $99 art sale. The gallery does this as an annual fundraiser, with a unique twist: you can’t see who actually created the pieces of art until the art is purchased. Because of the way it’s set up, buyers are encouraged to buy things they actually like the look of instead of going off of a signature associated with the piece. The gallery it has some pretty impressive artists this year. Somehow, I managed to get on the list as well. Come on down and check out the art on display. I’ll post a picture of my art after the exhibit for you folks to see.
